- High Quality Annatto leaf liquid extract - we use classic conventional methods of extraction. We meticulously produce our extracts according to precise standards where each herb is extracted according to the distinct characteristic of each plant.
- Concentrated Annatto leaf liquid extract (traditional alcohol tincture)
- We strictly use ethically sourced raw material, organic alcohol, and vegetable glycerin USP
Annatto (Bixa Orellana) is a tropical shrub or small tree, native to the Americas and also known as achiote or urucum. While the plant is most famous for its seeds - the source of a natural orange-red colorant - this product is made from the leaf. The annatto leaf naturally contains tocotrienols, a type of vitamin E, along with other plant compounds.
-
WHOLE-LEAF LIQUID EXTRACT: Made from the dried leaf of Bixa orellana, carrying the leaf's natural spectrum of constituents rather than an isolated or standardized single compound.
-
TRADITIONAL ALCOHOL EXTRACTION: A classic alcohol-based tincture, made with organic alcohol, vegetable glycerin, and water, for a concentrated extract with a long shelf life.
-
THE LEAF, NOT THE SEED: This is the annatto leaf - the part that naturally contains tocotrienols - distinct from the seed, which is the well-known food colorant and is offered as a separate product.
-
NOT A CULINARY COLORANT: A liquid supplement extract you take by the drop, not annatto powder, annatto oil, achiote paste, or food coloring.
-
CLEARLY LABELED: Labeled by botanical name and plant part, so there is no confusion with the annatto seed product or with the culinary colorants.
Bixa orellana - Annatto, Achiote, the Lipstick Tree
Annatto (Bixa orellana) is a familiar tropical plant of the Americas, long valued for the vivid pigment of its seeds. Less widely known is its leaf, which naturally contains tocotrienols. Our Annatto leaf tincture captures the dried leaf in a concentrated, alcohol-based liquid extract.
About our Annatto Leaf Tincture:
We start with quality annatto leaf and use a classic, conventional alcohol extraction with organic alcohol, vegetable glycerin, and water. It is a whole-leaf extract - not an isolate - carrying the leaf's natural profile. This is the leaf of Bixa orellana, not the seed.
Suggested use: Shake well before use. Adults take 20-30 drops (approximately 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper) in 2 oz of water, tea, or juice, up to four times a day, or as directed by your practitioner. Drink the entire contents.*

Loved the product!
I have not taken it long enough to evaluate it fully. However, I really like that it does not have alcohol. The taste is acceptable.
I was having terrible leg cramps each dialysis session. Within two days of taking Quina ,30 drops with water x4 daily I've had 3 dialysis sessions with NO cramps. I will continue this solution as long as I need it. Will try reducing the drops slightly to save a little but now I am one happy old ..
