Graviola (Annona muricata), also known as soursop or guanabana, is a small evergreen tree of the custard apple family, Annonaceae, native to the tropical Americas and the Caribbean and now grown across Southeast Asia, Africa and the Pacific islands. It reaches 5 to 8 meters, with glossy dark green oblong leaves that smell faintly of blackcurrant when crushed, fleshy yellow-green flowers and a large heart-shaped fruit covered in soft spines. The white fruit pulp is sour-sweet and widely made into juice and sorbet. We extract the dried leaf.
Tincture or alcohol-free drops?
Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol
as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use
vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of
dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
