About Grindelia robusta

Grindelia (Grindelia robusta), the great valley gumweed, is a perennial of the daisy family, Asteraceae, native to California and the Pacific coast of North America. It grows 30-100 cm tall with stiff, toothed, resin-dotted leaves and yellow daisy-like flower heads whose buds are covered with a thick, white, sticky resin, which gives the common name gumweed. The whole plant has a balsamic smell and a bitter, resinous taste. We extract the dried herb.

Tincture or alcohol-free drops?

Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
