About Tradescantia zebrina

Inchplant (Tradescantia zebrina), the wandering dude or silver inch plant, is a trailing perennial of the spiderwort family, Commelinaceae, native to Mexico, Guatemala and Belize and grown worldwide as a houseplant. Its succulent, jointed stems creep along the ground and root at the nodes, with oval leaves striped silver and green above and glossy purple beneath, and small three-petaled pink flowers. The plant is sold as zebrina or diao zhu mei in Chinese markets. We extract the dried herb.

Tincture or alcohol-free drops?

Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
