About Lysimachia christinae

Jin Qian Cao (Lysimachia christinae), the Christina loosestrife, is a creeping perennial of the primrose family, Primulaceae, native to damp, shady ground across southern and central China. Its slender stems trail along the soil and root at the nodes, carrying pairs of round to heart-shaped leaves, which gave the Chinese name meaning "golden coin herb", and solitary yellow, five-petaled flowers in the leaf axils. The dried herb is yellow-green, with a slightly salty, mild taste. We extract the dried herb.

Tincture or alcohol-free drops?

Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
