About Bryophyllum pinnatum

Kalanchoe Pinnata (Kalanchoe pinnata, also known as Bryophyllum pinnatum), the air plant or cathedral bells, is a succulent perennial of the stonecrop family, Crassulaceae, native to Madagascar and naturalized across the tropics from Hawaii to India and Brazil. It grows 1-1.5 m tall with fleshy, scalloped leaves that sprout tiny plantlets along their edges, and hanging clusters of bell-shaped, red-flushed green flowers. The leaves are juicy, with a sour, slightly salty taste. We extract the dried leaf and stem.

Tincture or alcohol-free drops?

Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
