Life Everlasting (Helichrysum stoechas), the shrubby everlasting or Mediterranean curry plant, is a low, woody perennial of the daisy family, Asteraceae, native to dry rocky slopes and coastal sands of the western Mediterranean from Portugal and Morocco to Italy. It forms a grey-white, felted bush 20-50 cm tall with narrow leaves and dense clusters of small, papery, golden-yellow flower heads that keep their color for years when dried. The whole plant smells of curry and honey. We extract the dried flower.
Tincture or alcohol-free drops?
Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol
as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use
vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of
dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
