About Pinus sylvestris

Pine Pollen comes from Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), an evergreen conifer of the pine family, Pinaceae, native to Europe and northern Asia from Scotland to eastern Siberia. The tree reaches 35 meters, with orange-red flaking bark on the upper trunk, paired blue-green needles 3 to 7 cm long and small egg-shaped cones. In spring the male catkins, clustered at the base of new shoots, shed clouds of fine yellow pollen whose grains carry two air sacs. The pollen is collected and sieved. We extract the dried pollen.

Tincture or alcohol-free drops?

Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
