About Hylocereus undatus

Pitahaya (Selenicereus undatus, formerly Hylocereus undatus) is the white-fleshed dragon fruit, a climbing cactus of the cactus family, Cactaceae, native to Mexico and Central America and cultivated in Vietnam, Israel and Hawaii. It has long three-ribbed green stems with short spines that scramble over trees and trellises by aerial roots. The large white, night-blooming flowers open for a single night and are followed by oval fruit with bright magenta, leafy scales and white pulp dotted with tiny black seeds. We extract the dried fruit.

Tincture or alcohol-free drops?

Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
