Sea Cucumber here is the black sea cucumber or lollyfish (Holothuria atra), a marine animal of the family Holothuriidae, not a plant, found on sandy flats, reef lagoons and seagrass beds throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific from East Africa to Hawaii. It has a soft, cylindrical black body 20 to 60 cm long, often dusted with a coat of sand that sticks to its skin, and a ring of short tentacles that sweep sediment into its mouth. It is one of the most common and widely harvested sea cucumbers in the region. We extract the dried whole animal.
Tincture or alcohol-free drops?
Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol
as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use
vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of
dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
