White Pine (Pinus strobus) is the eastern white pine, a tall evergreen conifer of the pine family, Pinaceae, native to eastern North America from Newfoundland to the Great Lakes and the southern Appalachians, where it was once the colonial mast tree. It is the tallest tree in the East, often 30 to 50 meters, with horizontal tiers of branches, soft, flexible blue-green needles in bundles of five, and slender, curved cones 8 to 20 cm long. The bark is smooth and grey-green on young trees, becoming thick, dark and deeply furrowed with age. We extract the dried bark.
Tincture or alcohol-free drops?
Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol
as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use
vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of
dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
