Jewelweed (Impatiens Pallida) is a flowering plant native to Canada and the United States. Jewelweed has branching stems. Flowers are tube or funnel shaped with a narrow spur at the back that bends down. There are 2 round broad lower lobes and a much smaller upper lobe. Color is yellow with reddish spots, especially near the base of the lower lobes, but the spots are sometimes absent. Leaves are hairless, toothed, and generally oval to egg-shaped. This is the pale (yellow) jewelweed, Impatiens pallida - distinct from spotted jewelweed (Impatiens capensis) and from the ornamental garden impatiens.

It is called "jewelweed" because dew and water bead up like jewels on its leaves, and "touch-me-not" because its ripe seed pods burst open at a touch.
