Round Cardamom (Amomi Kravanh) is a member of the Zingiberaceae family. The stem is upright, about 3 m tall. The leaves are long, quite narrow, lanceolate and can reach up to 0.5 m in length. They grow directly from the stem. The white flowers are produced in clusters. The fruits are quasi-spherical, growing in clusters similar to grapes. The ripe fruit is white or pale yellow and about 1.5 cm across. The dried pods are thin and crisp, having spheroid dark brownish red seeds. *
