Barley Grass (Hordeum vulgare) is the young green leaf of the barley plant, cut while it is still in the leafy stage and before the plant forms a stalk and sets grain. That timing is what makes it barley grass rather than barley. This alcohol-free extract is prepared from the dried young grass in a smooth vegetable glycerin base.

Barley grass (Hordeum vulgare) is the green leafy stage of a familiar cereal plant, harvested young. Our Barley Grass extract captures the dried grass in a concentrated, alcohol-free liquid.

We start with quality, ethically sourced Hordeum vulgare grass and, unlike alcohol-based products, this formula is 100% alcohol-free, using a gentle vegetable glycerin base. It is a whole-grass extract - not an isolate - carrying the plant's natural profile. Like any green leaf, it owes its colour to chlorophyll and carries the vitamins and minerals typical of green foliage.

Suggested use: Shake well before use. Adults take 20-30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water, tea, or juice, up to 3 times daily, or as directed by your practitioner.*
