Gallbladder Support Alcohol-Free Drops
Gallbladder Support Alcohol-Free Glycerite, Milk Thistle Seed, Turmeric Rhizome, Green Tea LeafGallbladder Support Alcohol-Free Drops
This is an alcohol-free liquid extract (glycerite) of three herbs extracted together in equal parts: the seed of a Mediterranean thistle, the orange rhizome of turmeric and the unfermented leaf of the tea plant. Each is also sold on its own. It is a traditional herbal product with important cautions - it must not be used by anyone with gallstones or a bile-duct problem - please read the safety information below before use.
- Milk thistle, seed - Silybum marianum seed (Asteraceae)
- Turmeric, rhizome - Curcuma longa rhizome (Zingiberaceae)
- Green tea, leaf - Camellia sinensis leaf (Theaceae) - contains caffeine
- Extract type: Alcohol-free glycerite - liquid drops. Other ingredients: vegetable glycerin, purified water
- Origin: Responsibly sourced cultivated botanicals (milk thistle from Turkey, turmeric from India, green tea from Nepal). Gluten free. Made in the USA.
What is in the blend
- Milk thistle seed - the small, hard seeds of a tall purple-flowered thistle of the Mediterranean, named for the white veins that mottle its spiny leaves. The seed is used here; the leaf is a separate extract.
- Turmeric rhizome - the bright orange underground stem of a ginger-family plant of South Asia, the source of the kitchen spice; it stains everything it touches and gives this blend its color.
- Green tea leaf - the unfermented leaf of Camellia sinensis, the same plant that gives black tea; the leaf is steamed or pan-fired rather than oxidized, which keeps its green color. It naturally contains caffeine.
Why the alcohol-free drops
The three dried herbs are extracted together in vegetable glycerin and purified water, so there is no ethanol in the bottle - the version to choose if you avoid alcohol. Glycerin gives the drops a mild, naturally sweet taste that softens the bitterness of the herbs.
What is a glycerite?
A glycerite is a liquid herbal extract made with vegetable glycerin instead of alcohol. Glycerin is a clear, naturally sweet liquid from plant oils; it extracts and preserves the water-soluble parts of the herbs. Because glycerin is a weaker preservative than alcohol, keep the bottle refrigerated after opening. The glycerin and water percentages are printed on the label.
How to use
Shake well before use. Put the number of drops shown on the label into a little water, juice or tea and take it with food, not on an empty stomach, up to the frequency shown on the label. Do not exceed the label serving. Because green tea contains caffeine, take the blend earlier in the day. If you take iron supplements, take them two hours apart. Refrigerate after opening and use within the period printed on the label.
Drops or tincture?
If you prefer the classic alcohol-based extract with the longest shelf life at room temperature, the same three-herb blend is available as Gallbladder Support Tincture - the alcohol-based version. The herbs and proportions are identical; only the extraction liquid differs. Our Gallbladder Guard Alcohol-Free Drops is a different six-herb blend of artichoke, burdock, corn silk, dandelion, Oregon grape and wormwood.
Important safety information - please read before use
This blend contains turmeric and concentrated green tea leaf. Please read before use.
- Gallstones and bile-duct problems: do not use this blend if you have gallstones, a blocked bile duct, liver disease or any other condition of the liver or bile ducts. Turmeric stimulates bile flow and can trigger pain or a blockage.
- See a doctor: pain under the right ribs, yellowing of the skin or eyes, fever or vomiting need urgent medical attention. Do not use this blend instead of a medical evaluation or any prescribed treatment.
- Liver: rare cases of liver injury have been reported with concentrated green tea extracts. Take with food, stay within the label serving, and stop and see a doctor if you notice dark urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes or unusual tiredness.
- Caffeine: green tea contains caffeine. Use caution if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, anxiety or caffeine sensitivity, and do not combine with other caffeine sources.
- Blood thinners and surgery: turmeric may slow blood clotting. Consult your doctor if you take warfarin or similar, and stop use at least two weeks before surgery.
- Pregnancy / nursing: do not use.
- Iron: green tea reduces iron absorption - take iron supplements two hours apart.
- Allergies: milk thistle is a daisy-family (Asteraceae) plant - avoid if you are allergic to ragweed or daisies.
- Age: not for children.
- If you have a medical condition or take medication, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use. Do not use it to self-treat any medical condition - see a qualified doctor instead. Keep out of reach of children.

I love this stuff it's my second order.
This motherwort herbal extract is not as bitter as some others I've used, which is nice.
Thank you
I don't know if it is effective or not, it takes weeks and months to tell a difference
Great, thanks
Good product delivered as advertised
Every thing is as as they described! And on time too.
Great product as always will buy again
Arrived early. Exactly what was needed.
I can't really say if this worked or not. My symptoms improved but it may also have been a change in diet. I would use it again if symptoms returned. At least there were no adverse affects.
