HERBAL WELLNESS REFERENCE: EXPLORE 800+ HERBS BY BODY SYSTEM
We just launched something we've been wanting to build for a long time - a proper herb reference, right on the site. It's called the Herbal Wellness Reference, and it lives at hawaiipharm.com/herbs.
Over 800 herbs. Free. No account needed. Just open it and start exploring.
What's inside each herb card
Every card pulls together the details that actually matter when you&'re researching a plant:
- Common name, botanical name, folk names, Latin synonyms, Sanskrit names
- Which part of the plant is used root, leaf, bark, seed, resin
- A plain-language description of the herb's traditional wellness role
- Therapeutic action tags - things like Adaptogen, Carminative, Tonic, Antioxidant
- Direct links to our Alcohol and Alcohol-Free liquid extracts for that herb
We pulled most of this from sources we already had internally - botanical databases, traditional references, our own product notes. It took a while to organize into something usable. But here it is.
Filter by body system
The part people seem to find most useful: you can filter the whole library by body system. Click Digestive System and you get 500+ herbs traditionally used for digestive wellness. Click Respiratory - 269 herbs. Immune, Nervous System, Skin Health, Women's Wellness, Liver support - they're all there.
It's a fast way to narrow down when you already know the general area you're looking into, but you're not sure which plants to start with.
Why it exists
Honestly - we have over 800 extracts in the catalog and not everyone knows what half of them are. We thought: why not just show people? Put the botanical context right next to the product. Make it easy to read through, compare, and decide.
This isn't medical advice, and we're not claiming it is. It's a reference - the kind you'd find in an herbal compendium, now just a lot easier to search through.
