Erythrina (Erythrina variegata), the Indian coral tree or tiger's claw, is a fast-growing deciduous tree of the legume family, Fabaceae, native to coasts from East Africa through India to Polynesia and northern Australia. It reaches 15-20 m, with prickly trunk and branches, large trifoliate leaves and dense clusters of scarlet, claw-shaped flowers that open on bare branches in spring. The grey bark is thick, corky and marked with short spines. We extract the dried bark.
Tincture or alcohol-free drops?
Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol
as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use
vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of
dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
