Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) is a bushy, strongly scented perennial of the daisy family, Asteraceae, native to the Balkans and Anatolia and naturalized across Europe and North America. It grows 30-60 cm tall with yellow-green, deeply lobed, chrysanthemum-like leaves and masses of small daisy flowers with white rays around a flat yellow disc. The leaves have a sharp, bitter, camphor-like smell and taste. We extract the dried herb.
Tincture or alcohol-free drops?
Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol
as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use
vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of
dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
