Grape (Vitis vinifera) is a woody deciduous vine of the grape family, Vitaceae, native to the Mediterranean, central Europe and southwestern Asia and cultivated for wine and fruit for at least 6,000 years. It climbs by forked tendrils, with large, lobed, toothed leaves and clusters of tiny green flowers that ripen into bunches of berries. Each berry holds two to four hard, pear-shaped seeds with a bitter, astringent taste, a by-product of pressing. We extract the dried seed.
Tincture or alcohol-free drops?
Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol
as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use
vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of
dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
