About Coffea arabica

Green Coffee (Coffea arabica) is the unroasted seed of the arabica coffee tree, an evergreen shrub of the coffee family, Rubiaceae, native to the highland forests of Ethiopia and South Sudan and grown across the tropical highlands of Latin America, Africa and Asia. The plant grows 3-5 m with glossy, dark green leaves and clusters of fragrant white flowers, followed by red cherries that each hold two flat-sided seeds. Unroasted, the beans are pale green with a grassy, slightly sour smell. We extract the dried bean.

Tincture or alcohol-free drops?

Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
