About Moringa oleifera

Moringa (Moringa oleifera), the drumstick tree or horseradish tree, is a fast-growing deciduous tree of the Moringaceae family, native to the sub-Himalayan foothills of India and grown throughout the tropics. It grows 10-12 m with a thin, open crown of feathery, tripinnate leaves of small oval leaflets, fragrant creamy flowers and long, ribbed, drumstick-like pods up to 45 cm that are a vegetable of South Indian sambar. The leaves have a mild, slightly peppery taste like watercress, and the roots smell of horseradish. We extract the dried leaf.

Tincture or alcohol-free drops?

Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
