About Cucurbita pepo l.

Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) is a trailing or bushy annual vine of the gourd family, Cucurbitaceae, domesticated in Mexico and the southern United States thousands of years ago and now grown worldwide. It has large, rough, lobed leaves, hollow prickly stems that scramble several meters, and big yellow-orange funnel-shaped flowers of separate male and female kinds. The fruit ranges from small ornamental gourds to the familiar orange pumpkin, and holds flat oval seeds in a fibrous cavity. Hull-less "naked seed" cultivars are grown for the green seed kernels. We extract the dried seed.

Tincture or alcohol-free drops?

Both start from the same dried plant material and cold maceration. The tincture uses organic alcohol as the solvent, keeps for years and is the classic herbal form. The alcohol-free drops (glycerite) use vegetable glycerin and purified water, taste mildly sweet and suit anyone avoiding alcohol. The amount of dried herb per serving is printed on each label.
