Linden is a tree up to 40 m tall, with a spreading spherical crown. The bark of old trunks is gray, with cracks. It is the most long-lived species of the genus, that survives to 1100-1250 years. Linden is naturally found in Europe: Sweden, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Ukraine, Greece, Italy, including Sicily, Romania, France, Spain. It grows in mixed and deciduous forests. It is cultivated everywhere. Linden is a good honey plant. In culture, it is highly regarded as one of the most decorative and melliferous species of linden.

Suggested use and dosage for adults: Shake well before use. 20-30 drops (1 ml., one full squeeze of dropper), up to 4 times a day or as directed by your practitioner. The best way to use liquid herbal tinctures is to put the suggested amount in a glass of water, tea, or juice and drink the entire contents. Tinctures can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some tinctures are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.

What is Linden (Tilia x europaea) extract?
Linden extract is a dietary supplement made from the dried leaf and flower of Tilia x europaea, the common lime or common linden, a tree of the mallow family (Tiliaceae) and a hybrid of Tilia cordata and Tilia platyphyllos. What is the difference between the tincture and alcohol-free versions?
Both are liquid extracts of the same Tilia x europaea leaf and flower; only the solvent differs. The tincture uses a traditional blend of vegetable glycerine, alcohol and water. The alcohol-free version is a glycerite made with vegetable glycerin and crystal-clear water, which suits those who prefer to avoid alcohol. Is linden the same as citrus lime, basswood, or the shade tree?
No. In British English linden is often called the lime tree, and its flowers are called lime blossom or lime flower - but this has nothing to do with the citrus lime (Citrus aurantiifolia); it is simply an old name for the linden tree and its blossom. Our product is the herbal leaf-and-flower extract, not the large ornamental shade tree that people plant in yards and streets, and not basswood - basswood is the American linden (Tilia americana), a related tree best known as a soft carving and woodworking lumber. Our linden is Tilia x europaea, the common lime, which is a hybrid, distinct from the small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata) and from basswood. Linden is also famous as a tea; our product is a concentrated liquid extract rather than a loose tea. We label the product clearly by its botanical name so there is no confusion between the linden herb, citrus lime, the shade tree, and basswood.
How do I use Linden liquid extract?
