Barrenwort (Epimedium Grandiflorum) is a flowering perennial of the barberry family (Berberidaceae), native to Asia and widely grown in shade gardens. The part used here is the leaf. The leaf naturally contains a compound called icariin.

Barrenwort (Epimedium grandiflorum) is a graceful woodland perennial, valued in shade gardens for its delicate, heart-shaped leaves and airy, spurred flowers that give it names like bishop's hat and fairy wings. We start with quality epimedium leaf and use a classic, conventional alcohol extraction with organic alcohol, vegetable glycerin, and water. It is a whole-leaf extract - not an isolate - carrying the plant's natural profile. This is specifically Epimedium grandiflorum.
Suggested use: Shake well before use. Adults take 20-30 drops (approximately 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper) in 2 oz of water, tea, or juice, up to four times a day, or as directed by your practitioner. Drink the entire contents.*
