Flixweed (Descurainia Sophia) is an annual or biennial herb that belongs to the Brassicaceae family. It is spread in Asia and Europe. The stem is upright, branched, hairy and about 30-60 cm in height. The greyish-green leaves are alternately arranged, sessile and pubescent. The leaf blade is pinnately lobed; the lobes are linear and narrow. The inflorescence is represented by a raceme. The light green or yellow flowers have 4 petals, 4 sepals and 6 stamens. As a rule, the sepals are longer than the petals. The fruit is a many-seeded silique that is about 2.5 cm long and about 1 mm in diameter. *
