This is an alcohol-free glycerite (drops) of the dried leaf of Myrtus communis, the true or common myrtle - an aromatic evergreen shrub of the Myrtaceae family, native to the Mediterranean, whose leaves have a fragrant, resinous scent.

This is true myrtle (Myrtus communis). The name "myrtle" is shared by several unrelated plants: it is not crape myrtle (Lagerstroemia speciosa, which we sell as Banaba), not wax myrtle or bayberry (Myrica cerifera), and not creeping myrtle or periwinkle (Vinca or Catharanthus).
