This is an alcohol-free glycerite (drops) of the dried bark of Populus alba, the white poplar, a member of the willow family (Salicaceae). Like willow and other poplars, its bark naturally contains salicin and populin - the salicylate compounds related to the origins of aspirin - along with tannins and flavonoids.
