White Quebracho (Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco) - Bark, Liquid Extract Tincture
This is an alcohol-based liquid extract (tincture) of the dried bark of Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco, a South American tree of the Apocynaceae family, known in Spanish as quebracho blanco. The bark is naturally rich in active plant alkaloids, including aspidospermine and yohimbine.
- Botanical name: Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco Schltdl. (white quebracho; Apocynaceae)
- Plant part: Dried bark
- Also known as: quebracho blanco, kebracho, white quebracho bark
- Extract type: Alcohol tincture (cold maceration in organic alcohol)
- Other ingredients: Organic alcohol, vegetable glycerin, crystal clear purified water
- Origin: Bark responsibly sourced from Bolivia; prepared in the USA. Gluten free.
This is white quebracho (Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco). It is not red quebracho (Schinopsis species, unrelated trees used mainly for tannins and timber). It is also a different plant from Yohimbe (Pausinystalia yohimbe), although both naturally contain the alkaloid yohimbine, so similar cautions apply. Please read the important safety notes below before use.
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING - please read before use
White Quebracho bark naturally contains active alkaloids, including yohimbine, which can affect the heart and blood pressure. Use only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare practitioner.
- Heart and blood pressure: yohimbine can raise heart rate and blood pressure and cause anxiety, nervousness or tremor; in high amounts it can cause heart palpitations, dizziness or stomach upset.
- Do NOT use if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, an anxiety disorder, or kidney or liver problems.
- Do NOT combine with antidepressants (especially MAO inhibitors), stimulants, or blood-pressure medications - the combination can be dangerous.
- Pregnancy / nursing: do NOT use during pregnancy or while nursing.
- Stop use and seek medical care if you notice a racing heartbeat, chest discomfort, severe anxiety or dizziness.
- Contains alcohol. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Good product delivered as advertised.
Item arrived exactly as described, protected from shipping damage and on time.

I was sent sea cucumber instead of Periwinkle. Decided to keep it and order Periwinkle. I hope i will be sent the right item this time. What a disappointment.

Exactly what I needed!
When I ordered this tincture I thought it was papaver somniferum, a sleep aid. I now understand that California poppy is a different genus. The tincture seems ok, nothing dramatic, but I guess it helps one sleep if you take the 30 drps as the instructions recommend.
Excellent service...would definitely order again! 5 Star!
Excellent condition, prompt service.
