Asafoetida (Ferula Assa-foetida) is the dried gum-resin of a large plant in the carrot family (Apiaceae) native to Central Asia and long associated with India, where the spice is known as hing. The resin is a natural latex tapped from the plant. This tincture is prepared from the pure gum-resin, with no wheat or added starch.

Asafoetida (Ferula assa-foetida) is the pungent gum-resin famous in Indian kitchens as hing, where it has been used as a spice for centuries. Our Asafoetida tincture captures the dried gum-resin in a concentrated, alcohol-based liquid.

It is a whole-resin extract - not an isolate - carrying the plant's natural profile. This is specifically Ferula assa-foetida, the source of asafoetida, and it is made without wheat, so it is gluten-free.
Suggested use: Shake well before use. Adults take 20-30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water, tea, or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by your practitioner.*

I need to research the use of glycerin/90 proof vodka as a combination in herbal tinctures. It does improve the flavor, but I'm unsure if it impacts the shelf life or strength. Great deal on this line of tinctures.
