Evodia Fruit (Tetradium Ruticarpum) Liquid Extract Tincture, Wu Zhu Yu
Highest-strength liquid extract from the dried fruit of Tetradium ruticarpum (synonym Evodia rutaecarpa), known in Chinese herbal tradition as Wu Zhu Yu, prepared by classic conventional extraction.
- Main ingredient: Evodia (Tetradium ruticarpum) dried fruit. Origin: Indonesia.
- Menstruum: organic alcohol (48% by volume), vegetable glycerin, crystal clear water.
- GLUTEN FREE.
- The fruit naturally contains the alkaloids evodiamine and rutaecarpine - potent constituents; see the safety notice below.
- A whole-fruit liquid extract, not isolated evodiamine or rutaecarpine.
Botanical Identity
Tetradium ruticarpum is a deciduous tree of the citrus family (Rutaceae) of eastern Asia. The genus was formerly called Evodia, so it is also written Evodia rutaecarpa or Euodia ruticarpa. The part used is the dried fruit, known in Chinese tradition as Wu Zhu Yu. This is the whole fruit, not the isolated alkaloids evodiamine or rutaecarpine that are sold separately as concentrated ingredients.
