Helichrysum (Helichrysum Arenarium), also known as dwarf everlast, and immortelle, is species in Asteraceae family. It is a perennial herbaceous plant 30-40 cm high. Helichrysum grows in dry pine forests. This plant does not require fertile soils - it grows on sandy, stony soils. But it has one requirement: open space and plenty of sunlight, and therefore it is possible to meet Helichrysum in meadows, high banks of rivers, in steppes and semi-deserts, in fields with sandy soil, in pine forests in glades. It grows with a bush, although one stem comes out of the ground, then it branches out. Felt-pubescent leaves grow on the lateral branches. The flower panicle up to 6 mm in diameter consists of small tubular yellow flowers. Helichrysum blooms in June-August, seeds begin to ripen in August. The plant is found in Europe and Asia.

Glycerites can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some glycerites are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.
