Lovage is a flowering plant in the same family as carrots, parsley, and dill. Its dark green leaves resemble cilantro, while the stalks resemble celery. The herb is sweeter but stronger than celery. Brought from Europe as both a food and as a medicinal, it now grows wild in the United States in New England, the Great Lakes states, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. Lovage contains quercetin. The root also contains 1,8-cineole, camphor, coumarins, eugenol, limonene, and methol.*

Safety information: Keep out of the reach of Children. Not to be used during pregnancy. Consult a physician before using if nursing or taking any medications. Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredients. Lovage should not be taken by those who are experiencing renal failure or renal inflammation, as it contains furanocoumarins, however, reactions to this herb are almost never encountered when Lovage is used properly. Excessive use (many times the recommended dosage) may cause kidney damage. Individuals who suffer from kidney ailments or edema caused by heart or kidney disease, should not take Lovage. Do not use if seal is broken or missing. Store in a cool dry place.
Suggested use and dosage: Shake well before use. Take 10-15 drops, three times a day or as directed by your practitioner. The best way to use liquid herbal glycerites is to put the suggested amount in a glass of water or juice and drink the entire contents. Glycerites can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some glycerites are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.
