Rosemary is a widely used aromatic herb with a bunch of great properties. It is often referred to as “The dew of the sea” or “Old man”. It was considered a sacred herb in ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt. Moreover, rosemary is a popular spice in the Mediterranean cuisine. In fact, European and Australian people have used the plant as a symbol of remembrance for those who died during wars.
Rosemary, or Rosmarinus officinalis, is a fragrant perennial shrub in the Lamiaceae family. It originates from the Mediterranean region and Asia. The plant can be upright or creeping. The upright rosemary can grow up to 1.5 m in height. The leaves are green, needle-like, about 2-4 cm long and 3-5 cm wide with white pubescence on the underside. The small flowers can be pink, white, purple or blue.

Aromatic Rosemary Tea Recipe
What you need:
- 1 tbsp of chopped fresh rosemary sprigs
- 2 cups of water
- Juice from 2 lemons
- 3-4 tbsp of honey
Add the rosemary to the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Let it boil for 1 minute, then remove from the heat and steep for several minutes. Strain the tea and add the lemon juice and honey according to your taste. Your aromatic and healthy tea is ready!
