It grows naturally on hardwood and oak logs, which is why it is sometimes called the oak mushroom, black forest mushroom, or Chinese black mushroom; in Chinese it is xiang gu. We start with quality shiitake mushroom and, unlike alcohol-based products, our formula is 100% alcohol-free, using a gentle vegetable glycerin base. It is a whole-mushroom extract - not an isolate - carrying the mushroom's natural profile. This is Lentinula edodes, the shiitake.
Suggested use: Shake well before use. Adults take 20-30 drops (approximately 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper) in 2 oz of water, tea, or juice, up to three times a day, or as directed by your practitioner. See the safety information below. Drink the entire contents.*
