What is the difference between the tincture and alcohol-free versions?

Both are liquid extracts of the same Anastatica hierochuntica flower; only the solvent differs. This tincture uses organic alcohol with vegetable glycerin and water, the classic conventional method that yields a super-concentrated extract with a long shelf life. The alcohol-free version is a glycerite made with vegetable glycerin and crystal clear water instead, for those who prefer to avoid alcohol. Choose the tincture for a traditional alcohol-extracted format; choose the glycerite if you prefer no alcohol. The botanical inside is identical. Please follow the safety notes for both.

Is this the same as the Rose of Jericho you see sold as a resurrection plant?

Not necessarily - the name "Rose of Jericho" is shared by two very different plants. This product is Anastatica hierochuntica, the "true" Rose of Jericho, a flowering plant of the Brassicaceae (mustard) family from the Middle East, also called Kaff Maryam. The plant most often sold as a novelty "resurrection plant" is usually the "false" Rose of Jericho, Selaginella lepidophylla, which is a spikemoss (not a flowering plant) from the deserts of the Americas. They both dry into a ball and revive with water, which is why they share the name, but they are botanically unrelated. We label ours clearly as Anastatica hierochuntica so you know you have the true Rose of Jericho and not the Selaginella spikemoss.

How do I use Anastatica liquid extract?

Shake well first. A typical amount is 20 to 30 drops (approximately 1 ml), up to a few times a day, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner, diluted in a little water, tea or juice.
