This is an alcohol-based liquid extract (tincture) of the dried root bark of Dictamnus albus, a plant of the Rutaceae (citrus) family. In traditional Chinese practice this root bark is known as Bai Xian Pi (Cortex Dictamni); the Chinese pharmacopoeial source is the closely related Dictamnus dasycarpus.

This is Dictamnus albus (white dittany). It is not dittany of Crete (Origanum dictamnus, a culinary mint-family herb), and although it is sometimes nicknamed "burning bush", it is not the ornamental burning bush (Euonymus). Please read the important safety notes below before use.
