Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) is a thorny shrub of the rose family (Rosaceae), the common bramble of hedgerows and wild margins. Most people know it for its berries, but the part used here is the dried leaf. This tincture is prepared from the dried blackberry leaf using a traditional alcohol extraction.

Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) is the familiar bramble of the countryside. While the berries are eaten as food, our Blackberry Leaf extract captures the dried leaf in a concentrated liquid tincture.

We start with quality, ethically sourced, wild harvested Rubus fruticosus leaf, extracted using the classic alcohol method for a highest-strength tincture with a long shelf life. It is a whole-leaf extract - not an isolate - carrying the plant's natural profile. This is specifically the leaf of Rubus fruticosus, and it is gluten-free.

Suggested use: Shake well before use. Adults take 20-30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water, tea, or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by your practitioner.*

Safety information: As with any concentrated herbal extract, do not exceed the suggested serving size, even though blackberry leaf is widely used as a herbal tea. The leaf is naturally rich in tannins, so taking more than the suggested serving may upset the stomach; tannins can also reduce the absorption of iron and some minerals, so it is sensible to separate this extract from an iron supplement or a mineral-rich meal by an hour or two. Do not use during pregnancy or while nursing without the advice of a qualified practitioner. If you take any prescription medication or have a health condition, consult your doctor before use. This tincture is made with alcohol, so excessive consumption may impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Keep out of reach of children.
