- High Quality Blackberry Leaf liquid extract - we use classic conventional methods of extraction. We meticulously produce our extracts according to precise standards where each herb is extracted according to the distinct characteristic of each plant.
- Concentrated Blackberry Leaf glycerin-based liquid extract
- We strictly use ethically sourced, wild harvested raw material and vegetable glycerin USP
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) is a thorny shrub of the rose family (Rosaceae), the common bramble of hedgerows and wild margins. Most people know it for its berries, but the part used here is the dried leaf. This alcohol-free extract is prepared from the dried blackberry leaf in a smooth vegetable glycerin base.
-
WHOLE-LEAF LIQUID EXTRACT: Made from the dried leaf of Rubus fruticosus, carrying the plant's natural spectrum of constituents rather than an isolated or standardized single compound.
-
ALCOHOL-FREE, GLYCERIN BASE: This version is 100% alcohol-free, made with a smooth vegetable glycerin base and purified water.
-
THE LEAF, NOT THE BERRY OR ROOT: This is the blackberry leaf. It is not blackberry fruit or juice, and it is not the root. We also sell blackberry root as a separate product; this one is the leaf.
-
BLACKBERRY, NOT RASPBERRY: This is Rubus fruticosus, the blackberry. It is a different species from raspberry (Rubus idaeus) and from Chinese raspberry / Fu Pen Zi (Rubus chingii), which we sell separately.
-
NATURALLY TANNIN-RICH: Blackberry leaf is naturally rich in tannins, along with flavonoids and vitamin C - simply constituents of the raw material. The leaf has a long history of use as a herbal tea.
Rubus fruticosus - Blackberry Leaf
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) is the familiar bramble of the countryside. While the berries are eaten as food, our Blackberry Leaf extract captures the dried leaf in a concentrated, alcohol-free liquid.
About our Blackberry Leaf Extract:
We start with quality, ethically sourced, wild harvested Rubus fruticosus leaf and, unlike alcohol-based products, this formula is 100% alcohol-free, using a gentle vegetable glycerin base. It is a whole-leaf extract - not an isolate - carrying the plant's natural profile. This is specifically the leaf of Rubus fruticosus, and it is gluten-free.
Suggested use: Shake well before use. Adults take 20-30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water, tea, or juice, up to 3 times daily, or as directed by your practitioner.*
Main Ingredients: Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) Dried Leaf.
Other ingredients: vegetable glycerin USP, crystal clear water.
Additional information about ingredients: Contains NO alcohol, gluten, or artificial color.
Suggested Use: Shake well before use. Take 20-30 drops in 2 oz of water, tea, or juice, up to 3 times a day, or as directed by your practitioner. Do not use if seal is broken or missing. Store in a cool, dry place.
Safety information: As with any concentrated herbal extract, do not exceed the suggested serving size, even though blackberry leaf is widely used as a herbal tea. The leaf is naturally rich in tannins, so taking more than the suggested serving may upset the stomach; tannins can also reduce the absorption of iron and some minerals, so it is sensible to separate this extract from an iron supplement or a mineral-rich meal by an hour or two. Do not use during pregnancy or while nursing without the advice of a qualified practitioner. If you take any prescription medication or have a health condition, consult your doctor before use. Keep out of reach of children.
