easier to get down than alcohol base.alcohol base may seem more effective, b/c it is a more severe effect on the tongue. this too gives a tingling to the tongue, just not as severe as alcohol. i can easily recommend this product---especially for children that may need it for respiratory infect due to yeast. i have used the excellent Pharm Herb product for years, but needed the glycerin base.
