Grains of Paradise (Aframomum Melegueta) is a species in the Zingiberaceae family. Aframomum Melegueta is an herbaceous perennial plant native to swampy habitats along the West African coast. Its trumpet-shaped, purple flowers develop into pods 5–7 cm long, containing numerous small, reddish-brown seeds. The stem at times can be short, and usually shows signs of scars and dropped leaves. The leaves are 35 cm in length and 15 cm in width, with a well-structured vascular system. The fruits contain numerous, small, golden red-brown seeds.*

Suggested use and dosage for adults: Shake well before use. 20-30 drops (1 ml., one full squeeze of dropper), up to 4 times a day or as directed by your practitioner. The best way to use liquid herbal tinctures is to put the suggested amount in a glass of water, tea, or juice and drink the entire contents. Tinctures can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some tinctures are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.
