The homeland of Cinnamon (Cinnamomum Verum) is considered Sri Lanka and India. Cinnamon or Cinnamomum Verum is an evergreen tree-like plant up to 15 meters high. Its branches are cylindrical, closer to the apex - trihedral. Cinnamon fruits are violet berries with a single seed, 1 cm in diameter.*

The best way to use liquid herbal tinctures is to put the suggested amount in a glass of water, tea, or juice and drink the entire contents. Tinctures can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some tinctures are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.

What is the botanical and historical background of Cinnamomum verum?
Cinnamomum verum is an evergreen tree of the Lauraceae family - the laurel family, which also includes bay laurel (Laurus nobilis), avocado (Persea americana), and sassafras - native to Sri Lanka, which was historically known as Ceylon, giving rise to the common name Ceylon cinnamon. The genus name Cinnamomum derives through Latin from the Greek kinnamomon, itself tracing back through Phoenician and Hebrew qinnamon to a Southeast Asian source word. Cinnamon has been traded for at least 4,000 years; ancient Egyptians imported it as a luxury spice, and it appears in records of the ancient Mediterranean trade networks under names suggesting its distant origin.
