Spinach, botanically Spinacia oleracea, is a familiar leafy green vegetable of the Amaranthaceae family. The part used here is the dried leaf, sourced from Israel and prepared as a concentrated liquid extract. The leaf naturally contains iron, vitamin K, folate, lutein and carotenoids - these are simply constituents of the raw material. It is not fresh or cooked spinach that you eat as a vegetable, not spinach powder or juice, and not a thylakoid product. What is the difference between the tincture and alcohol-free versions?

Both are liquid extracts of the same Spinacia oleracea leaf; only the solvent differs. The tincture uses alcohol as the traditional solvent, together with vegetable glycerin and water. The alcohol-free version is a glycerite made with vegetable glycerin and purified water, suited to those who avoid alcohol.
